Just got my house upgraded and now have a new air conditioning unit in the house. Thank god to, these hot, Southern nights were killing me after work last year. The  last one died out of no where, luckily it was just this month so the weather wasn’t unbearable without it. There was a little lack of air flow in the house but still not to horrible. Anyway, it was good timing to have it crap out when it did so that I could replace it for the summer.

It was pretty seamless process actually. The initial getting quotes can be a little stressful, you definitely need to get a good number of quotes for comparison reasons. I had one  estimate at over $15,000 and needless to say they didn’t get my business at all. Ended up paying $5k, only needed to replace the main central cooling unit so I saved some cash there which was nice. Now I’m sitting in a nicely air conditioned home, feels nice.

If you’re looking to get a new central air conditioning system, I suggest looking at these general hvac prices. It was really helpful when first looking at possible price quotes for my system. Also, make sure to checkout your contractors for complaints. That contractor that was looking to charge you so much also had a history of overcharging and trying to sell you more than you need. Really glad I didn’t go with that company.
